Each year, over 100 volunteers come together to turn Hastings into the can’t-miss celebration of the summer. Whether you’re greeting guests, helping with activities, or keeping the vibe alive, you’ll be part of the team that makes it all unforgettable.
Volunteering is your all-access pass to fun, community connection, and a chance to give back in the best way possible. Plus—you’ll score a free t-shirt, a weekend pass to Rivertown Days, and maybe even some new friends! Ready to join the crew?
Volunteer Opportunities at Rivertown Days
What We’re Looking for in a Volunteer
We don’t ask for superpowers—just a great attitude and a little bit of hustle!
You’re our kind of person if you:
- Can stand for a bit without turning into a statue or a garden gnome
- Can lift around 20 lbs (like a watermelon… or a medium-sized dog)
- Play well with others and work as part of a team
- Stay cool under pressure and bring good energy to support the event, our guests, sponsors, and the community
- Are 21+ (if working the beer tent)
Volunteer roles MIGHT include:
Gate Management: Welcome guests, sell tickets, and keep the energy high.
Beer Tent Crew: Serve drinks, keep things flowing, check IDs and serve up good vibes. (Must be 21+ and attend alcohol service training)
Traffic Control: Guide guests to entrances and help keep things moving smoothly.
Hospitality Team: Keep our music talent happy—stock beverages and tidy up hospitality tents.
Event Set-Up: Set the stage—place fencing, set up tents, tables, chairs, and signage.
Event Tear-Down: Help wrap up the weekend and leave things better than we found them.
Floaters: Be our on-the-ground problem-solver—check stations, assist as needed, and tackle whatever comes your way.
